Is there any way to keep the field settings for a particular field when moving it in and out of a pivot table? Currently, every time I move a field back into the pivot table, I have to reset it to, say, a currency format because it always defaults back to a general format.
Also, I have some fields that I want to be Sums and some that should be Averages. Usually it gets the Sums right, but the field that I want it to average, it always gives me a Count. It’s very frustrating having to reformat these fields every time I move them into the table. Isn’t there any way to tell it that Revenue should always be a Summed field in a Currency format, but Customers should always be a Number format?
