Excel question - nplosions

In PeopleSoft Nvision reports you have the functionality of creating data nplosions - is there any way this can be done in 'regular excel files? (none-nvision layouts/reports)

I have to develop a spreadsheet whereby only the summary columns are shown and the user has the option to ‘unhide’ the breakdown however I want to refrain from using the ‘unhide column’ methodology…

It’s actually not a pivot-table option…it’s the group/outline function under the ‘data’ tab (for those like me on Excel 2003)
