Executive compensation at a publicly traded company. What form?

In which SEC form do publicly traded US companies report their executive compensation? I know I saw an official SEC filing from a company a few years ago that spelled out the cash and other compensation of its top 5(?) officers.

The annual 10-K form is probably the one you’re thinking about. It contains information on executive compensation for the top bigwigs in the company.

Some information will also be included in the quarterly 10-Q forms.

Most often seen in the definitive proxy statement. If you’re searching for it online at the SEC’s EDGAR search, look for DEF 14A. Also seen in registration statements (e.g. Form S-1) and often incorporated by reference into the 10-K.

The DEF 14-A form will have the compensation & ownership information for the top executives and Board of Directors.
