Explain the Cult Following of The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Fox ran a special on their network a couple decades ago. Apparently it was filmed in a theater during one of those midnight showings complete with stage production. It was … interesting.

The stage Rocky had a physique much better suited for Eddie.

After a couple hundred times, I don’t have any trouble remembering 30 year old lines that I haven’t participated in for 25 years. If I wasn’t stuck with a wheelchair, I could even still do the moves - and have coached people in doing the moves and costume making for years.

And true the movie Shock Treatment sucks, the music is better.

I was referring to the movie. The music wasn’t bad, as I recall, but I’ve only seen it once. Maybe I ought to give it another try. I was still drinking when I saw it, so my memory may be suspect.

Dr. Scott, is that you?!

Didn’t they try a live-audience TV showing of the movie once? They showed the movie and a selected audience in a studio? I remember seeing it once, and it seemed to fall flat. Everyone seemed too self-conscious. And even too cute. Just a little too choreographed.
