Explain this legal term 'ov"

In an email, my attorney keeps using the term/acronym ‘ov’ in sentences that relate to a file or case. Without the email in front of me, please forgive me paraphrasing. He states things such as 'in the ov case, it is sceduled for x"

Can someone fill me in on the meaning or purpose of ‘ov’?
Thanks!

It’s not a term i’ve encountered before. Are you sure it’s not some sort of case identifier? Could match some contextual fact?

Could you give us a few more examples, maybe it will clearer from context what he means.

In the Wikipedia article on “Ov and Yidoni” it is made clear:

So your attorney is talking about cases of witchcraft.

Is that how he’s writing it – ov? It’s not ov., O.V. or OV? Knowing whether it’s meant as an abbreviation or an initialization might help track down its meaning.

Does he keep using it OVer and OVer?
Could it be “Original Version?”

My guess is Ordinance Violation.
