After 10 years on the shelf, I dust off my Proteo Grande expresso machine (purchased from Starbucks) and set out to make some coffee. The manual is long gone, Starbucks online does not archive the manuals that far back. Anyway, I vaguely remember some sequence of button presses involving the steam part of the machine to prime the pump so it will make coffee. Right now I have an air lock in the tubing and it will not work. Does anyone know the sequence of things I have to do to get it working again? Surprisingly, it does make steam, and I can’t even figure out where the steam is coming from, given the fact that I can’t get water to leave the resevoir.
