I keep seeing this ad in the Chicago Reader:
I’d be interested (especially now with the whole un/under-employment thing), but does anyone happen to know how legit these guys are? I’m getting a vague, not-quite-certain beeping on my BS meter… perhaps because the ad itself is vague.

Best way to get yourself a talent agent in Chicago? I know in NYC it’s considered bad form to directly approach the agency yourself, but then again, you can’t multi-list in NYC either.
And, where to find auditions? Film or theatre is fine, paid is preferable (see aforementioned un/underemployment). I tried subscribing to Performink from their website, but you can’t even find out how much the bloody thing costs without first purchasing “Performink dollars,” so I’d have to guess at it, and I can’t at this point really afford to guess wrong. (grumble) Anyone know where I can pick up a hard copy?
