What is the correct medical term for this stuff, y’know, eye cheese, sleepers, eye snot, sandman came to visit, etc? Googling pulled up a bunch of slang and opinions.
Wish I knew 
I always seem to get a glob of that stuff clinging to my eyeball when I wake up in the morning. Drives me nuts- usually I go to the mirror and try to work it towards the corner of my eye (since I’m not keen on using my finger to polish eye boogers off my eyeball )
Conjunctival mucin. It is secreted from the plica semilunaris.
