I enjoyed this more than I expected. It’s an Anthology of stories about agents of Wakanda having adventures through history. Did anyone else see it?
I watched and mostly enjoyed it. I did not like that Wakanda was shown as having space age technology thousands of years ago instead of the obvious thing of making them slightly ahead of current technology.
I’ve watched the first couple episodes, I liked them.
Canonically, in the MCU, there have been various interstellar-capable or very high-tech groups (both local and alien) either living on Earth or interacting with it for millennia - Kree, Skrulls, Celestials, Asgardians, Eternals, Inhumans, Kang the Conqueror, Watchers, etc. Then there’s the stuff from the X-Men universe that’s now being merged in, like Apocalypse - and probably the Savage Land and Shi’ar before too long too.
Basically, everyone and their dog were doing crazy tech in prehistory in the Marvel universe, it’s not weird Wakandans were too.
I mean, the weird part is that in all that time they only got marginally better. Current Wakanda becomes a whole lot less impressive when you learn they’ve had this technology for millennia and really only advanced a few decades in all that time. They are not elves.
Law of Diminishing Returns, I suppose.
