F1 isn't worth the money I'm paying for it

Of course Hobbs and Matchett are enthusiastic, but they’re also pros. Wouldn’t you rather hear explanations of driving technique and car design than Derek Daly’s endless “Lookadis! Lookadis!” crap? Let’s be thankful he’s gone. I do miss Sam Posey’s commentary but he might be superfluous alongside Hobbs and Matchett, as Varsha is.

Three commentators are a waste anyway. As I see it, there need to be only two - one a colour commentator and one an expert. The colour guy is there to make things sound interesting, and the expert is there to make sense of everything. The Speed guys do well on one front, and miserable on the other. And the current state of F1 doesn’t help at all. I still say we should go back to the 12 lap qualifying system and allow tyre changes during the race.

Schumi sucks, you say? He’s not winning every race, I hear?

Perhaps a reason to tune into F1 again…

No kidding.

I bet Reeder pulls for Kurt Busch.

NA$CAR, first taking over this thread, then the world.

The new rules changes have pretty much made me cancel any plans I had to trek out to Montreal and Indy this year. Whats the point of all that travel for what now is basicly a 2 day show?

Screw it. I’ll stay home and watch the coverage on TV with the Mute button pushed. I can’t stand the constant chatter about fuel load and tire pressure.

Which is exactly why the Murray Walker-Martin Brundle partnership used to work so well - a perfect example of what you describe. Walker and James Hunt were excellent, too, back in the day.

Actually I’m a Wallace fan.

To those of you complaining about the current state of F1, might I suggest, if you haven’t already, you watch today’s Imola GP which is being shown on tape delay by CBS at 1:00 PM ET.

Won’t give away the results – but it was certainly a classic.

ITV cut to adverts three laps from the end. Three! Wankers.

Wow! That’s just pathetic. Good thing Fox LA didn’t try something similar 'cuase I’m afraid my TV screen would have suffered the consequences of my ire.

That was some nail-biter. Amazing drive by Shummi and awesome display of matury and racecraft by the young master with the tired engine, Alonso.
