A Facebook acquaintance and former neighbor linked a video of the Chambers Brothers doing Time Has Come Today, with the single comment, “Why?” Watching the video I saw that the poster has some unresolved issues and what first struck me was his reference to LBJ’s “Fabian Progressivism.” I was under the impression that the Fabian Society never made much headway outside the UK, but did it really influence Johnson’s progressive beliefs? Did LBJ have any intellectual beliefs?
