Fabulous online physics-based game

This type of thing I consider to be a total cop-out on the “no-wheel” idea… Basically the same as the previous, but with a much more clever lifting mechanism:

Yeah, that’s a wheel for sure, just not a system-designed wheel.

Fail=funny, epic fail=really funny:

Are there any green solutions for Tube? I mean, I saw earlier that there were, but for the life of me I can’t find any sufficiently well-labeled ones in the list.

Working slingshot of my own inferior design: Fantastic Contraption - Launch Level

Need a fix, do ya? They always come back.

If I finish it, do I get another?
Sorry it’s so sloppy… No time to make it look nice, I’ve got work to do.

This one is a bit smoother,, but it’s still ugly. I used the sport of jai alai as my inspiration.

Nice! Very nice!

You did the under, here’s an over: Fantastic Contraption - Launch Level

Sweet! I was trying to do something similar with a fixed fulcrum catapult, but I couldn’t get the ball to go fast enough; it kept falling just short of the target. ETA: Holy crap, that’s the weirdest thing?! If you erase the powered wheel on the left, and replace it with an identical piece, the contraption doesn’t work???

Thanks! Took me all darn morning. :smack:

That’s beautiful in its utter failure.

Missed the edit window…

Just because I like “green” solutions…

This one’s just for you. It only needed a little bit of tweaking to make it pollution free.

And, yes, this is a shameless bump hoping somebody will post more solutions and/or levels.

Nice. I tweaked it again: took out the powered wheels and added a ramp and a brake.

No powered wheels, no pollution, ball stops in the goal.

Now we just have to figure out how to do it without wheels at all…

I think I’m getting close with a solution similar to the green, no wheel, awash solution. Basically build a big solid block out of wooden sticks, a rod which drops until it hits the edge of the ledge(at an angle) then the block falls on the end and “kicks” the ball. Unfortunately the wheels weigh more than sticks, so I’m using unpowered wheels right now as the core of my “weight”.

Enjoy,
Steven

Not very sophisticated, but I like the results of my solution for Around the Bend:

I’m a complete cheat as I based this on other solutions, but I’m still proud. An hour of tinkering:

Handling

Finally got Back and Forth!

Bought the full version; can’t…stop…playing…

This reminds of the days I would play Tetris so much that I would find myself drifting off to sleep and see the tetris shapes falling and turning.

Here’s a solution I came up with for the user-made level “mine rescue.” (Might have to have the full version to see it…)

Still not quite sure how this Back and Forth works, but there’s no pollution and it’s only worth 15 points.

You can replace the top-left pink wheel with an unpowered blue one and cut the “cost” by 2 points; still works.

*** Ponder

Well, I added a couple points, but I took out a wheel. It’s still pollution free, and a radically different design. Sort of.

ETA: Note how close it comes to polluting.
