Congrats Rayce, your makeup was spectacular. Even if I wanted my Boy to win.
Shut up, Beki, shut up, Beki, shut up, Beki, shut up, Beki. Poor RJ.
I really liked RJ and Rayce’s work, this week. Ian’s…eh. I liked the faces on the ‘Hellhounds’ - especially the one whose face was in the process of mutating - but the rest of their looks were meh. The Lucifer…eh…his face and head were interesting, but I didn’t like the paint job at all… The concept behind it? It’s pretty cool, but the flat white just didn’t say ‘light’. He could have used some sparkle, or iridescence, or SOMETHING.
To the winner, I would have been happy with either RJ or Rayce.
I worried for Rayce when his make-up started coming apart, and I’m glad his concepts and paint job scored high enough with the audience and judges to overwhelm that.
It ended the way it should have. I am very pleased.
I really wish the finale had been two hours. I would have liked to see more of the technique, more of the artist interaction when there was a leader for each team, and DEFINITELY would have loved to see more of the judge’s critiques.
I’m very happy with the outcome, though.
Agreed, Rayce was good all season and on fire the last few weeks.
I’m not unhappy that Rayce won, although I’d have preferred it be RJ. But ultimately, I don’t think his work stood up to the challenge. If the premise was to be able to withstand the dance routine, then I’d have scored him much lower than everyone else. And if you can’t cut that part, in my humble opinion, you don’t deserve top prize.
Although he seems wildly talented and like a great guy, I hope he’ll go far. Hopefully, we’ll see more of both him and RJ.
Hey Guys!
Season 3 starts tonight, 01/15/2013. I’ll start a new thread.
Season 4, actually.
I’m still living in 2012. I wonder who will win the election?
LOL! The only reason I mentioned it is because I’m looking forward to participating in the thread and want to be able to find it
