Facebook: "Like This Picture, Write '37', Wait 10 Seconds and See What Happens"

My FB feed is filled with stuff like this. My “SCAM!!!” detector is pinging when I see these things. I’m reminded of the week or so ago when my FB feed was filled with “Click here to see what happened to this hot 18 year old when her daddy caught her masturbating” spam.

Or are these little send-ups actually just harmless fun things to do?

Should be: I’m reminded of the week or so, many years ago, when…

You just have gullible friends. These things don’t ever do anything.

Yeah, it’s just viral idiocy.

There was a thread on this exact topic only 1 day ago?

“Look at this picture 10 seconds then type ‘club’ - mind blown” - what happens?

I don’t have a Facebook account, so somebody will have to tell me what happened to that hot 18-year-old. I hope she’s okay!

You don’t get to find out. That’s the beauty of it— you just click the link, which installs malicious code on your computer, which causes the same link to be all over your FB feed, hoping other schmucks will click it.

Not that I’d know from experience.
