Facebook question: finding a needle in a haystack

Preliminary question: Since it’s Facebook, shouldn’t it really be in MPSIMS?

Serious question: We’ve all been there. Scanning our FB feed, and we see that a friend has posted on an item that has THOUSANDS of comments already.

If I want to see what my friend posted, I COULD expand the comment thread out to where it displays EVERY comment, then do a Search on my friend’s name. That’s pretty time-consuming, though (particularly if my friend has a name that is fairly common). Is there a more targeted approach available?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

I don’t know if the new Facebook Graph Search will solve that problem or not. It sounds like exactly what the new search should do, but Facebook rarely seems to be trying to make our lives easier.
