Facebook question

Guess I don’t care who knows my political beliefs, family members names, etc. Though I probably should.

FB settings can disallow Google searching. IOW, you can still have an account in use and be unfindable using search engines. If you want, you can allow anyone with a FB account to find you there but still have Google not see you there.

filmore, if you block someone, they cannot see anything to do with you except for posts you made on other people’s walls prior to the blocking. If I block you tomorrow but stay friends with your brother, you will not see me on his friends list tomorrow. You will not be able to see my wall, my photos, my status, my events, etc. either. If I also disallow “Everyone but friends” to see all of those things, it won’t matter if you’re logged out, you still won’t see them (unless you’re falsely logged in as one of my friends).

ETA: At least, that’s how it’s supposed to work, and how it usually does work. If you’re a haxx0r wit mad skillZzz all bets are off. FB isn’t known for being especially hack-resistant, and they’ve had some well-known security bugs.
