I’m not talking about defriending… I’m talking about removing somebody from one of the kind of lists that appear on the left side of the screen. I can see how to create one, but there is no apparent way to edit the list once it’s created.
Google’s no help because I can’t think of a way to frame the question in such a way that it’s clear I’m not talking about defriending somebody… I just want to remove them from a subset.
So if you go to FRIENDS from the top menu, and then click on the list on question on the left-hand side menu of the FRIENDS page, you should see in the middle of the page a list of friends on that list, plus “Create New List”, “Edit List” and “Delete List” at the top of that list of friends.
Click “Edit List” and a layer window comes up with all your friends and “fan pages” in it. The people who are already on the list will be highlighted in blue with a checkbox over their picture. Un-check them and then save changes.
HOWEVER, I just have two friend lists - SDMB and Kent State. Kent State is where I went to college and it’s the “network” I used when signing up. I didn’t create this list nor did I ever add anyone to it. The friends who are on it are friends who also signed up using Kent State as their home network. I CANNOT edit this friend list, since it’s automated.
So if you are trying to remove someone from an automated list, it can’t be done. But if you are trying to edit a list you made, see the directions above.
Make sense?
Thanks, ZipperJJ! That got it.
I had the same question… thanks for getting that ignorance busted!
