Failed Trump casino sues over alleged theft of "TRUMP" sign

Well, if they knew the signage was remaindered from the TRUMP Casino then they had a duty to discover the provenance of the art — if they didn’t, then they could rely on the sellers being lawful owners, just as when one buys any household good without a long disquisition on the prior chain of ownership.
However only a judge who was a loony in his spare time would entertain the idea they were ignorant.
However your president did not own the properties bearing his name — some chap called Carl Icahn did and is the only one concerned as disposer of the signs — and The Magnificent Trumpo has been out of the Casino game since 2009.

The letters * of his name were each 3’ x 4’ which would be a trifle ostentatious outside my domicile.

Why would anyone want to buy a trump sign anyway? Unless it would be to blow it up in a video.

[li]To set up as a drive-by when he’s in your town & garner lots of press.[/li][li]To sell off the letters; could probably make much more than $50/per because their famous.[/li][li]To cut them up & sell off small squares of something famous, like has been done with squares of a athlete’s jersey, replaced astroturf, etc.[/li][/ul]

So, was the security guard fired & did he get to keep the $250 for selling what wasn’t his?

Well, the organization is called RUMP; buying most of this sign was probably cheaper than having one made from scratch. If they can just sell the rest to this guy they’re bloody geniuses.
