I too have received several of both kinds of phishing scams–the ones that look like they’re from eBay or Paypal and ask you to click on a link to confirm something-or-other, and the ones from a purportedly angry eBay seller/buyer–and I haven’t observed that reporting them to spoof@ebay causes any more of them to appear.
EBay points out that any real e-mail from them will also be duplicated so as to appear in the user’s My Messages, so all you have to do to check whether it’s legit is go and check My Messages. Also, they point out that the sign-in for the genuine eBay has that yellow color in the URL window, and it’ll say signin.ebay.com.
