Heather Gladney’s Teot’s War, a fantasy novel about a desert warrior named Naga Teot, who’s tribe has been slaughtered. He swears an Oath to Caladrunan, his dead brother’s best friend and Liege Lord of Tan, to unite against the people who killed Naga’s family.
Juliet Marillier’s last book in her Sevenwaters Trilogy.
Yeah, well. Dunno if it’s me and the turns my life has taken in the past few days (which are considerable), but I am getting somewhat impatient with the whole saga …
Tried the Maggie series of murder mysteries (she is in publishing)–thought the book was funny about half way through and then realized I didn’t give a hoot about any of the characters and so I stopped reading–I don’t even know who the culprit is (unheard of for me to not read until that is revealed or guessed).
Also tried the Bubbles series of murder mysteries–guess I’m off sassy/smart ass women detectives.
Maybe I’ll read the backs of all the toiletries–it’d be as entertaining.
:commences to curmudgeon corner to grouse:
Finished Dark Hollow by John Connolly – if you like high body counts and an introspective ex-cop, you’d like this.
Next up is A Faded Coat of Blue by Owen Parry. I’ve had this laying around for awhile but decided to finally read it after seeing it on an Amazon list of their favorite books of the decade. It’s a Civil War mystery.
