Thought some here might be interested. This is the first one that came out in 1997. A classic though and you cannot go wrong when it is free.
Thank you, Whack-A-Mole. That kicks ass.
Neat! I really liked FO3 and NV.
Okay, I saw this earlier this afternoon. Seemed like GOG’s site was kinda slow, so I logged in long enough to say “MINE!”. Downloading now.
Drat it, why do all of the online game sites only have the Windows versions of games?
Ah, what the heck, it’s free, and I’ve been meaning to try it for a while. I might just see if I can Wine it.
I hope you have better luck than WineHQ’s compatibility indexsays you will. The mouse not being usable in a Black Isle RPG is pretty much a game-ender, as far as I can imagine.
OTOH, the compatibility index entry does have the disclaimer “The test results for this version are very old, and as such they may not represent the current state of Wine. Please consider submitting a new test report.”, so you may be OK with the new newly-released developmental (1.5.1) version of Wine.
And as much as you’ll have to pay GoG for the game, it’s still worth trying.
How about a dual boot into windows?
It would open up an entire library of PC games to you.
Just FYI but it is nothing like FO3 or NV. Still great in its own way though.
Yeah.
Seems this promotion worked really well for them…perhaps too well. Their site was slammed and lots of people were reporting painfully slow response times. Most did as you did and nabbed it for later download.
Browsing through their catalog of games is a walk down memory lane. As a promotion this may work well for them as I see several games in there that I would like to play again.
I OWN the disc of the game, and I had to sign up to get my copy of it. Never hurts for such a good game. Now if they only had Xcom and Xcom 2…
<_<
You can get all the X-Com games through Steam.
Thank you for pointing this out! Love the game, and now I can go back and do a Jinxed run like I always wanted.
