In case you’re not familiar with the basic format of this game, I’ll briefly explain the rules. You try to think of which answer will be the most popular, and earn points based on how successful you are as your answers are compared to others. The number of similar responses for each question is calculated, then multiplied by two, and the point totals are added in order to determine the winner and all other placings.
However, this version has a few quirks. Normally, a unique answer is not awarded any points. Also, replies that are factually incorrect are counted just as truly valid responses are. In this particular thread, however, ANY correct answer will win you at least two points. However, an INVALID response will cost you ten points.
The “Letter-Perfect” in the title refers to the fact that each answer must contain the EXACT number of letters requested for that particular question. For example, if this thread “went up to eleven” and I asked you to “Give an eleven-letter word ending in -tion”, “aggravation” and “devaluation” would both be acceptable, but “solution” (8 letters) and “prestidigitation” (16 letters) would each cause ten points to be deducted from your score.
You will also lose ten points if I judge your answer to be invalid, even if it has the requested number of letters. In the example above, “roffpoqtion” (clearly made up) would lose ten points, as would “evalluation” (eleven letters as typed, but a clear misspelling of either “evaluation” or “devaluation”). So proofread those answers carefully, and edit (or, if you miss the five-minute window, post a correction OF SPELLING ONLY) if necessary.

1 letter – Give the Periodic Table symbol for a chemical element.
2 letters – Give the abbreviation for a state of the USA.
3 letters – Give the initials or name of a broadcasting network.
4 letters – Name something you drink.
5 letters – Name a country of the world.
6 letters – Name a major world city.
7 letters – Name an animal you might see in a zoo.
8 letters – Name a sport, game, or pastime.
9 letters – Give the surname of a major historical personage.
10 letters – Name a movie (this can be one word, or broken into two or more, as long as the letter count is accurate — spaces and punctuation marks don’t count as letters)
Edited to add: The game will end either when fifty entries have been posted, or at 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on June 6, whichever comes first.
