A mason uses water to create some material needed for the job (indirect use of water).
A firefighter uses water to do the job (direct use of water).

I’m okay with Idle Thoughts playing in my place if he wants to – but won’t add him to the roster until (unless) he comes back while the first round is in play.
And I’m okay with “no action in 36 hours counts as a non-penalty pass” – but you may want to PM or email the players concerned in case they’re not aware the game has started up again.
