Sex was pretty much the only thing he wasn’t addicted to. He didn’t cheat on his wife but I can’t imagine he was easy to live with at times.

Eric Clapton’s been clean and sober for around 32 years now. Okay, it took him some time on NeuroElectric Therapy (NET) and rehab to get off heroin and due to some not well thought out rehab he got addicted to alcohol. And 2 rounds at Hazelden to get sober, but the second time took.

Frank Zappa lived on cigarettes and black water (coffee). And baloney sammiches. He talks about it in The Real Frank Zappa Book. I’ll let you know what page when I unpack the box that book is in.

Seems rock-n-roll goes hand-in-hand with alcohol and drugs. The only two rock artists I can think of who (supposedly) have never partaken in these vices are Frank Zappa and Ted Nugent.

I saw someone interview Zappa- Dick Cavett, possibly? – asked Frank why he named his first two children Dweezil and Moon Unit. Ever so cool, hip, and oh-so-above it all, Frank’s dismissive shrug of an answer was: “I felt like it.”
