Famous rock musicians who do not use alcohol or drugs

Henry Rollins is very anti-drug.

I thought the poster boy for no drink, no drugs and not even groupies was Charlie Watts.

Definitely caffeine, fairly sure I heard those words from his own mouth in an interview.

Are you sure about the drugs? I know he was a big-time alcoholic, but I’ve never seen anything about him using drugs.

And they’re still married thirty-eight years later.

He was addicted to the same thing Ted Nugent was.

PUSSY! ;)

Maybe now, but he had some serious drinking and drug problems in the 80s.

So, he didn’t drink, he didn’t smoke … what did he do?

I don’t know, but subtle innuendos follow.

Subtle innuendos follow. There must be something inside.

Donnie or Marie Osmond, whichever one was a little rock & roll? Brandon Flowers of the Killers?

Also, Ian MacKaye didn’t do drugs!? I wish he told us!

Sex was pretty much the only thing he wasn’t addicted to. He didn’t cheat on his wife but I can’t imagine he was easy to live with at times.

Eric Clapton’s been clean and sober for around 32 years now. Okay, it took him some time on NeuroElectric Therapy (NET) and rehab to get off heroin and due to some not well thought out rehab he got addicted to alcohol. And 2 rounds at Hazelden to get sober, but the second time took.

Cliff Richard

…missed it by that much.

If his book is to be believed, he was no goody two shoes - at least not in every sense of the term.

Wow not sure what happened there. Thankfully, OurLordPeace came along with a working link.

Frank Zappa lived on cigarettes and black water (coffee). And baloney sammiches. He talks about it in The Real Frank Zappa Book. I’ll let you know what page when I unpack the box that book is in.

OK, so what the hell was wrong with Zappa when he named his kids Dweezil and Moon Unit then if he can’t claim to have been drunk or stoned at the time?

I thought I remember Angus Young from AC/DC saying he was a teetotaller.

I don’t know about alcohol but the members of Pink Floyd always claim they never do any kind of drugs.

I saw someone interview Zappa- Dick Cavett, possibly? – asked Frank why he named his first two children Dweezil and Moon Unit. Ever so cool, hip, and oh-so-above it all, Frank’s dismissive shrug of an answer was: “I felt like it.”
