I woke up this morning, looking forward to being able to go to the pet store and get my new puppy Biscuits some supplies. Unfortunately, it is Sunday, so I doubt anything is open yet. I check PetSmarts website and they open at 10! It’s 10:30! Rock on! I load up my new puppy in the car and she rides all the way there in the passenger seat. She is nice and calm and never leaves the seat. What a good girl! We go to PetSmart, meet the lady that runs the obedience classes and find out that they run them all week long, days and nights! I figured they would just do them on Saturdays, when I work. Rock on! My puppy can go to school!
I go to work. it’s an ok day. Then a supervisor comes up to me when I’m dealing live action and asks me if I’d like to do a single table. Sure I say. He then tells me that the girl on the table had a very bad experience with a player and that she is new and to be nice to her. She ends up winning the tournament. I go turn in my tips and the supervisor tells me he picked me because I knew I’d be nice to her, have a fun table and give her a better experience than she had had. I said “Well, is letting her win the tournament nice enough?” He laughed and said “Heck yeah! Good job!”
I take a break and my girlfriend who left to work at another card room came in and we got to hang out on my break. Cool beans!
I come back in, they have me push into a table. There is a player there named Frank. He’s a very nice guy and I’m pretty sure I"m the only dealer that knows his name. He’s liked me every since I asked him his name and actually remembered it. He cheered when I came to the table. The last hand of the night. Big pot. He wins. I push him about a $300 pot. He gives me a tip and says “Not only did you make it so I’m up for the night, but I had a very embarrassing hand against that guy, I bluffed and he caught me and I was so embarrassed. You restored my manhood!”
I came home, my puppy gave me kisses and my husband made me dinner.
I’m now in my lazy boy, eating fries, petting my puppy and being really, really happy.
