How did the UFO solve a hopeless situation?
Well, the UFO distracted Bear Gerhardt for long enough that Lou was able to grab his revolver and kill him.
An, thanks.

I’m not one to see a sexual subtext in everything, but both Hanzee and Floyd’s expressions when he was stabbing her were… interesting.
Thanks! That’s what I was hoping.
She’s dead, Jim. He did a “ol yeller” on her, I am sure.
I found this article where the Fargo show runner Noah Hawley explains the alien encounters.
At least, he kind of explains them. But not really.
Screencaps show pages from the ‘history book’ in this episode. Whoever posted previously about Peggy having dated Ed’s friend, who went to Viet Nam - it is referred to here as well (last page of the book). Also the script is on this site, with the narration.
I posted a link to a different article on the subject back in post #60.
I still haven’t decided if I loved or hated the UFO.
Hated it. But loved the hints, in the epis before. Hints are better than blatant.
Yes, that paragraph, next to the picture of Ed and Peggy, is pretty easy to read. But if you look closely, you’ll see the same paragraph in the previous screencap, opposite a picture of a big house with a very interesting roof, and it’s also the second paragraph of Chapter 14, opposite the picture of Rye Gerhardt. So they made a little text go a long way.
Thank you! I won’t strain my eyes trying to read the other pages. Okay, then.
Had he shot it at the Motel yet? Could the lack of a spent round mean that Simone is alive? (She said hopefully. . .) :o
Sorry- Simone was stupid. Stupid people die in Fargo.
Yeah, I think she’s dead, too. But ya never know…
The scene with Simone was with a handgun.
The scene at the hotel was with a shotgun.
I can excuse the scene @ the hotel in that this was his first round being chambered, but that would be really stupid on his part. (and honestly, its been a while, so not sure if first round is already chambered in a shotgun or not).
Anyone getting ready for a firefight with a pump-action shotgun would load up the tube, rack/chamber a round, then reload one more in the tube, for maximum capacity.
Just once I’d like to see the show have someone get a jam, then realistically deal with it. It’d be a minor thing to most of the audience, but a “wow-accurate” to experienced gunners.
If I remember correctly from season one, Molly’s dad mentions one night years before when he sat on their porch in bitter cold waiting for some “big evil” or “pure evil itself” or something like that.
Because of that I’ve been trying to determine who the “big evil” is. I think Mike Milligan may be more of a Malvo-like character but Hanzee to me is the most dangerous.
Is anyone else expecting a season climax on the porch of Molly’s house?
The Golden Globe nominations were announced, with the show, Patrick Wilson, and Kirsten Dunst all getting nominations. The Golden Globes aren’t perfect but those are good nominations to see.
I don’t remember the context for him saying that, it could have been him talking about this, or just some other time about him being protective. I don’t know why Hanzee or Milligan would be coming after the Solverson’s house. Hanzee wants to finish off Peggy and Ed, and Mike wants to work on his business.
Mike is going to come out of this smelling like a rose. KC can easily move in now and Mike will take credit for the massacre.
Has Hanzee and Lou even ‘met’ yet? I don’t believe so -
Lou is aware of Hanzee - Hanzee might be aware of Lou in ‘general’ - he doesn’t have a reason to go after Lou at this time - of course, that might change Monday night.
