Fargo: Season 2

There is some information available about season 2. It will be a prequel going back to 1979 about Lou when he was 33 years old in Sioux Falls.

Anyone recall the details of what he said about the big crime which happened then?

All I remember was that the crime scene was indescribably horrible and the perp went after him at some point.

Did they ever say what year the supermarket guy originally found the money? If so, that seems an obvious connector between the seasons as well.

I wonder if they’ll actually do any shooting in Sioux Falls. Even if it’s just establishing shots, it would still be neat.

I’m really surprised that a second season is coming. Pleased, but surprised, as I thought this was going to be a one-off.

Yay! Count me in as another who thought Fargo would be a one time thing. I’m looking forward to the new one.

The money was placed there in 1986, 7 years after the events of this season.

I wonder if there’s a member of the Carradine clan who could be cast as Young Lou? I looked on Wikipedia and there are a passel of descendants of John; some of them might be age-appropriate.

“The Greek” grocery store guy found the ransom money left by the Steve Buscemi character from the movie Fargo, that was the connection between Season 1 and the movie’s universe.

I believe one of the lines in Lou’s description of the Sioux Falls crime scene was bodies stacked to the ceiling? Or was it “stacked like cordwood”.

I think you mean Keith. John was his father.

No, I meant John. John’s progeny is (obviously) more numerous; a Carradine cousin might have enough resemblance to Keith to make the casting interesting. And they do tend to be skillful actors (witness Martha Plimpton).

Ah, so you meant second generation, because any sons or nephews of his would all be far too old.

I guess. The wikipedia page on the family (Carradine family - Wikipedia ) indicates that the generations range over a variety of ages, starting from the fact that John had kids with two (of his four) wives over a twenty-one year period.

I hope season two is as good or better. I can’t wait!
