Fat Jigglin' Machines

Remeber those weight-loss machines from the 60s and 70s that had the cloth band that would vigorously jiggle the belly fat of a hopeful weightwatcher? What happended to those, and what was the theory of fat loss behind them?

I’d hazzard a guess thaty people once tried to convince us that rapid vibration of fat somehow loosened it from it’s grip in our bodies, and allows it to be removed by excretion or whatever…

Like most gimmicky machines o’ weightloss, it was likely replaced with one that promised superior results, and thus production ceased. For example, when’s the last time you saw the “Thighmaster” for sale anywhere…?
