I get this error every time I search this morning. It’s consistent, using advanced search:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 79 bytes) in /home/straightdope/boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/includes/class_core.php on line 3223
GOt that one last night. I changed my search string to fewer words (it had been three words) and it then worked. Don’t know if that’s a coincidence or not. Irritating thing is that it resets the search clock. I was using the regular search.
