Fatburger or In-N-Out?

I worked there. As security late Friday and Saturday nite. Tuff gangbangers lining up with socialites in full dress, cops, partygirls, and drunks straight out of the bars. A slice of LA life. Oddly, other than the parking (very nasty) everyone was cool.

I got paid 3X normal, all the Chili-cheeseburgers I could eat, and working there actually got me out of a speeding ticket*, it was that cool.

(*I told the cop I was on the way to work security at Tommys, and he just said “well, just make sure you get there in one piece” and waved me away! )

I miss In-N-Out SO much since I moved up to Oregon. I loved their fries and their shakes, although I do agree the wait there was usually horrid. I came up here and asked if any were up here and found out there weren’t. But then someone mentioned a chain called Burgerville and just sang the praises of it. So I decided to try it. UGH. I was SO disappointed. I just…uck…nothing compared to good ol’ In-N-Out :frowning: The nearest one is 6+ hours away. contemplates it

You know, the thought never even occurred to me to order one without chili. I realize that they do have a “non-chili version”, but I when I think of Fatburger, I think of Double King chili cheese bacon burger.

Once, I was in line at Tommy’s and the Neanderthal in front of me ordered a burger WITHOUT chili. WTF? I was appalled, go to McDonald’s you asswipe!

A Double King Burger? That’s like a pound of meat!

Speaking of chili burgers, how many of you SoCal Dopers like Carney’s? I love the place.
