Favorite Eagles.Solo artist albums

Which Eagle album by the group or solo artist.glen fry. Don Henry you liked the best.?

Who is Don Henry?

I don’t know any albums, but Don Henley has put out a lot of fantastic solo songs that I only know from airplay.

I think I only know two Joe Walsh songs and I’m drawing a blank on the other members.

Hotel California is considered a classic, but I like their 2007 double album, Long Road Out of Eden. Don Henley put out a couple of albums that I liked every song on, Building the Perfect Beast and End of the Innocence. When I had those albums on cassette, I would leave the player on auto reverse and play them over and over.

He was a steel driving man.

I like Hell Freezes Over.

I think that was his brother. Don was, at best, a bronze driving man.

The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get

“It’s Hedley”.

Toss up, both Joe Walsh:

*Life Been Good to Me

Rocky Mountain Way*

His album sales would belie that. Two gold and two platinum.

De MoNET

Exactly. “Rocky Mountain Way” is one of the great songs of rock.

This is 1874. you’ll be able to sue her.:stuck_out_tongue:

I can see it’s going to be one of those threads.

I went to school with a Dawn Henley…

Seriously, I think Don Henley probably runs away with this one. Boys of Summer is probably one of the best written songs ever. His 3 solo albums in the 80s were all fantastic albums.
Personally, I love* I Can’t Stand Still*l and Building the Perfect Beast, End of the Innocence is a masterpiece and my easy favorite.

I just couldn’t get in to Glen Frey’s solo stuff.
Bernie Leadon went on to play guitar for a ton of other people but nothing really on his own.
Randy Meisner released a couple mildly successful solo albums.

I’m an old-school Eagles fan and I love the guy and his James Gang/solo stuff, but I never think of Joe Walsh as an Eagle really.

I did go on a J.D. Souther kick for a while but he was not an official member.

What, no Don Felder fans out there? …ducks and runs…

Tomorrow we’ll be glory bound.

Norm Van Brocklin and Sonny Jurgensen.

Correct!

Now, let’s see how much you wagered. . .

I saw Don Henley earlier this year. His voice is a little raw, but he’s still putting out good music.

My favorite Don Henley solo songs: “End of Innocence” followed by “Boys of Summer.”

While I enjoy Joe Walsh, he’s not the best singer, so I prefer he play the guitar.

As far as the latest Eagles band: Vince Gill’s “I Still Believe in You” is exquisite as is his entire Christmas album. “Go Rest High on the Mountain” is quite lovely as well.
