Too sweeeeet…
Chocolate fudge–the marshmellow creme kind. Yum!
Homemade crunchy toffee topped with chocolate and chopped almonds…mmmmmmm! I’ll be making some later this week. Of course, I’ll have to sample it to make sure I won’t poison anybody…;).

It’s an Italian nougat candy, soft and chewy and goooood.

Coconut, strawberry jello, red sugar, and a green-dyed almond sliver for a stem. This is the stuff holiday DREAMS are made of. I can get the recipe if anyone would like. . .

Sounds intresting, I’d love to have the recipe, if it’s not too much trouble.
The women folk of the family just did the annual holiday candy preparation, which us menfolk like to attend for obvious reasons. They make gobs of sweets, put them into tins and send them out to freinds and far off relatives.
There are chocolate and peanut butter fudges. There’s a lovely sweet called ‘buckeyes’(we’re from Ohio) that is a peanut butter fudge ball dipped in chocolate. There are ‘monster cookies’ that have oatmeal, peanut butter, nuts, M and M’s and whole lot of other stuff in 'em…
I think I better test my blood sugar now.
German spiced almonds and German spiced chocolate. It just doesn’t get any better, and I am so grateful to have a Net-friend in Germany who sends them to me.
On the domestic front, I’m a marshmellow green tree and pink snowman addict.
Slight hijack here – my favorite holiday treat is Pink Peppermint ice cream. I love, love love the stuff and you can only get it between Thanksgiving and New Years. As a matter of fact, I’m gonna go buy another 1/2 gallon today!
King Leo peppermint stick candy. I’ve only ever seen it sold at Williams-Sonoma.
Christmas Ribbon Candy. There is one of the flavors that’s just perfect.

BTW - Green Bean Einstein Bro’s Bagels sells the King Leo peppermint candy (or at least they did last year) - great stuff, perfect for stirring a cup of hot chocolate (could’ve used one with it being 37 degrees this morning)!
Zenith, emailed the recipe to you. MY MOM IS MAKING SOME RIGHT NOW!!! WOOOOOOOO!!! Like I said, if anyone else wants it, let me know. Zenith, let me know how they turn out.
