.. . ..
I do not know of a palindromic graphic pattern of such length and complexity in any other script of the world. If anyone could give a better example, that would be great.
That it turned out to go with a country called Libya is just a coincidence. The name Libya comes from the ancient Berber language, centuries before Arabic script was invented. I looked for a pretty calligraphic example of Libiya in Arabic, but I just found a Wiki example in printed font:
The Taj Mahal is a great architectural palindrome.
When I was in elementary school some girl (a 6th grader- oooh!) ran for student council president and her last name is Hannah. She gave a speech at an assembly and she had her last name written in capital letters on a piece of plexiglass. She ended the speech with something about how her name was the same backwards and forwards, and showed us by flipping the plexiglass over.
It was SO COOL!!!
Well I was in third grade at the time and I still remember it 19 years later so obviously I was impressed.
Mine, too! I had a friend in elementary school whose name was Hannah. We were like 3rd or 4th grade when me met and she pointed out the palindrome. I thought it was so cool, both her name and that she knew such a big word. She’s how I learned what palindromes were.
