I like the variant:
A slut was I ere I saw Tulsa
I like the variant:
A slut was I ere I saw Tulsa
Not sure if this ones in the links given, but it’s one of my favorites:
A man, a plan, a canoe, pasta, heros, rajahs, a coloratura, maps, snipe, percale, macaroni, a gag, a banana bag, a tan, a tag, a banana bag again (or a camel), a crepe, pins, Spam, a rut, a Rolo, cash, a jar, sore hats, a peon, a canal – Panama!
New to me and I really like it!
Note that many of the faves listed above are in Weird Al’s song…
My favorite palindrome is “Aviva” because that’s the name of one of my daughters.
I once came up with a really long one but I can never remember it. It’s written somewhere. Here’s a shorter one:
Hey, Yo has tits ahoy, yeh?
And here are some from an Archie comic that for some reason have always stayed with me:
Was it Tim’s mitt I saw?
Star buttons, not tub rats.
Didi won straw warts, now I did.
One of my faves:
Do good? I? No! Evil anon I deliver. I maim nine more hero-men in Saginaw, sanitary sword a-tuck, Carol, I – lo! – rack, cut a drowsy rat in Aswan. I gas nine more hero-men in Miami. Reviled, I (Nona) live on. I do, O God!
And that Weird Al spook of Dylan mentioned by the OP is fantastic.
Let’s not forget SDMB member Rat Avatar.
Found it (here actually)
Finally my masterpiece: Name a demand! Esa, reign! I don’t ask. “Come here”, he mocks at noding. I erase DNA. Me Daeman.
Live evil
God dog
nothin’ got I, ok…

A man, a plan, a canoe-parachute, a waterfall, a mall, a fret, a… wait, uh… car, a peon, a canal: PANAMA!
From here.
Madam, I’m Adam.
This one “cheats” a bit – the earlier inverse of “a .. wait, uh…car” is “[pa]rachute, a wa[terfall]”, which , reversed, gives “a …waet,uh…car”
The new destination for gay sex tourism:
A man, a plan, anal: PANAMA!
A fool, a tool, a pool: loopalootaloofa!
Yo soy.
(I am.)
Oso baboso. (Drooling bear.)
(BTW, after checking out that gaming message board that was linked to in an earlier post, all I can say is THANK OG we at the SDMB don’t do profile pictures for every friggin’ post.)
I wrote a program back in freshman year of college to try to generate Palindromes by randomly grabbing letters based on occurrence frequency(the inverse of their scrabble value, then a triple of the frequency of vowels). It was a bit contived, but I got an A because the assignment was to demonstrate the use of Queues and Stacks, and you just stick the letter in both a queue and a stack and read through the queue and the stack, and match against a dictionary and name file, then keep building from the middle, saving if it found something and if you have gone 8 without a match it threw away and started form the last palindrome start and end.
. It worked to some level, but ultimately wasn’t very interesting because it was unable to understand sentence construction obviously. It pretty much just made repetitive nonsense like “Mom Tot dog mom rat tar wow rat mom mom tar wow rat tar mom god tot mom” for 60 thousands words or so.
I bet i could make a much better one now If only I had access to a syntactic algorithm like the one behind vlingo, that could detect logical phrase construction
Ed, I saw Harpo Marx ram Oprah W. aside.
Straw!? No, too stupid a fad! I put soot on warts.
