You might be interested to know that that song, properly called “Mah Nà Mah Nà,” was originally composed for an Italian softcore porn film.
Okay, this is an oooold sketch. I may even have misremembered things.
This was early 70’s, so it was also an early Sesame Street.
Kermit has gone to the wig races, and is interviewing one of the wig trainers.
They talk about how one trains a wig for racing and what sort of regimen it has to be put on.
Kermit makes the assumption that such a regimen would involve a lot of shampoo.
And the wig trainer gets all huffy - Of course not! He only uses real poo for his wigs.
Just a few of my favorites, although in the case of Cereal Girl I’m not sure if it was a favorite or just one I could remember. Anything with Grover or Snuffy was always awesome, and I loved ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.
And I LOVED Prairie Dawn. She was great.
This is my favourite. Maybe it’s because I have mixed race kids who are often singled out, but I really, really like this one!
One of those that gets most folks in real life convinced that you’re hallucinating… Me and My Llama.
It was about a kid with a pet llama, and they both go to the dentist to have their teeth cleaned.
K’nex has something in a similar vein.
I always liked when they had guests who sang. I never would have known about Cab Calloway or Smokey Robinson if it weren’t for Sesame Street. I understand now, at age 25, why my mom always made a big deal out of it when they came on.
And how could I forget Cookie Monster singing “If Moooooooon was cookie…” before snatching it out of the sky and scarfing down.
