Did you know the original was a fairly morbid song written during WWII. The lyrics were changed for Judy Garland to make it more cheery.
The lyrics were changed a second time in 1957 because Frank Sinatra still thought they weren’t jolly enough.
So the feel of the song changed quite a bit from the original.

Then theres "You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch by the Raleigh Ringers.
Celine Dion’s version of O Holy Night. Those six Noels in the last verse often give me goosebumps.

To me no one sings “O Little Town Of Bethlehem” better than Kenny Chesney and no one sings “Silver Bells” better than Travis Tritt.
