FBI-getting in and their income

does any one know the grade requirements for the FBI and what the income of the average FBI agent is after going through the training?

Check out the FBI website under “employment”. Currently they pay GS-10 for Academy training, which is $43,705, with promotion to GS-11 at graduation, $53,743 to $58,335. An advanced degree helps, like law, accounting, computer science, engineering, etc. Needless to say, you won’t be doing it for the money.

Speak for yourself, pravnik. That’s a helluva lot more than I’m earning right now in the private sector.

thanks for the info, does anyone know what your grades in school have to be like to get into their training program?

If they offer you a position in a basement office with a bunch of old filing cabinets…RUN!

They do not list GPAs, but appear to expect substantial experience/accomplishments in areas like languages, engineering, intelligence, and sciences.

For a good laugh, click on the Pre-Quantico Kit link. A pop-up appears with a drawing of Quantico done either by a small child or Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

At one time many years ago (when I was but a fledgling), the FBI required a degree in accounting, since most of what they did involved accounting crimes. This may no longer be the case, but it is something to check on.
