F'd by Phamacy: How to Prove?

My lovely local pharmacy (with whom I’ve had past incidents) screwed me again. They shorted me 4 pills. But, how do I prove this? I can say I won one battle when they shorted me on my son’s liquid medicine. In that case, the math proved it for me! But, no math can prove this beyond a doubt. How would you fight this FYI: I stopped using this pharmacy, but I needed them since they had this medicine in stock. :frowning:

And, while this incident was not at Wal-Mart. But, Walmart once gave me somone’s else’s meds! Isn’t that grand? They only id their customers by birthdate, and the clerk heard me wrong. …But, two people wouldn’t share the same b-day, right?

Sheesh! Today, you gotta be your own pharmacist, doctor, lawyer…the bastards!

Your likely not going to get this corrected. I would certainly report it to a manager after talking to the pharmacist so if others report small shortages management can decide if they need to look for a theft. There’s still a small chance that the pharmacist may go “I was short 4 pills and meant to note it, so they cold pick them up tomorrow.”

Please report it to the manager. This may be a continuing problem, but if no one reports it the pattern may never be found out.

My dad was shorted a few pills at Walgreens a couple weeks ago, and when he called them they said “yep, our master count shows we have too many pills” and gave him his pills.

Have you tried calling them?

Yes, report it. If this is a controlled substance it could be a serious problem, like an employee taking a couple pills from multiple prescriptions. They should have pill counts and might be able to check their inventory and see that they do indeed have too many pills or if it is the aforementioned scenario they may be alerted to a problem. You’ll still be screwed but they will be alerted to a problem that could potentially screw a lot of other people.
