I remember hearing about the filming of a particular X-Files episode in which Scully ate (or appeared to eat) a live cockroach. Members of the ASPCA were present on the set and refused to allow a live cockroach to actually be eaten, so I can’t remember if the real cockroach was replaced with a chocolate dummy, or if Scully only pretended to eat it (sorry, no cite for this).

So my question is: what does the ASPCA make of Fear Factor? Those people eat live insects by the bucketfuls.

maybe they don’t care… they get to make fun of 5/6 people for doing retarded things for nothing. As far as i can tell, there aren’t any consolation prizes on that game.
