Feather quills in duck skin

I’m drying out a couple ducks for Peking Duck, and there are still some small quills left in the skin. I’ve removed as many as I can with tweezers, but some are pretty stubborn. How concerned do I need to be about this as A. a texture issue and B. a choking hazard?

I’ve made Peking duck before but it’s been a while and I can’t remember how I dealt with the issue.

Gotta pluck 'em.

Try using pliers instead of tweezers.

Yes, I’m going to graduate to pliers.
