Feedbackage!

I’ve revised the rule, partly because it had a typo, and partly because I had a ‘Duh!’ moment right after I posted it.

Godwin’s Law, Dope Corollary: As a thread on etymology or ‘proper’ English grows longer, the probability of the use of the word cromulent embiggens to one.

Re: “-age”

(1) Duke’s Second Law of Bureaucratic Inertia
I know I’m restating the obviage, but if “Pro-gress” is a good thing, it’s counter must be “Con-gress”

(2) Missed the most pervasive -age word in our society - “suffrage” and its close effect-cousin, “sufferage”, as in "since women acquired suffrage, we men have acquired sufferage! Stop applying make-up in traffic and DRIVE! When riding shotgun, my main squeeze invariably begions to apply face paint, lip gloss, eye stuff, etc. when the car is in or is about to enter a section of road where things are not so smooth; I’m constantly amazed that it all comes out right, with no smears or smudges, almost as if she’s riding in a set of gimbals (such as in a nautical compass binnacle). ‘Mazin’ critters, Womenage!

IMHO "preactive’ would be more cromulent than “proactive”.
