What I think you’re trying to describe is “impermanence”. The main source of suffering is clinging to the notions of a permanent world and we are permanent beings. You try to create a world you can grasp onto based on your thoughts and perceptions. They may or may not be “real”. They’re only real to you. You crave this reality. The more you crave and cling, the more you suffer. At least that’s what I understand from Buddhism. Other contemplative religions, that focus on meditative forms, have come up with a similar philosophy.
