Felony rude.

That was the Michigan Cursing Canoeist, and his conviction was thrown out on appeal.

I watched it a few more times. I do need to get out more, but regardless, the cop did seem to do as I’d do. It took him a second to collect himself and go for his club. Though I’d have just been stupified, and not tried to clobber the idiot. Probably.
Was that an actual cop? Even if so, many aren’t that well trained in combat stuff.

Good. Thr guy was rude, but that’s it.

I remember on a long road trip our car broke down. We had it taken to the nearest garage. Which was located in a real “Yew ain’t from around here, is’ya?” kind or town.

After the mechanic told us what it was going to cost to fix our car; I responded with “Shit!” To which HE (the mechanic) responded with: “Boy! yew better be glad the sheriff wasn’t here to hear yew say that. Or he’d haul yew off to jail”

I didn’t dare ask him on what charges; I just took him at his word.

Ileagal? Who is to say?

That, “what do you have to prove” still stands.

Is it illegal to walk up to a cop and ask a question?

Excuse me officer, do you know where the post office is?

Or

Hey man, do you know I assfucked your daughter?

Both are questions and the second one is the simplest of the two, an easy yes or no answer.

Hmmm I wonder which one would get the response you are looking for?

“Ileagal? Who is to say?”

Glances up at the forum, blushes and retracts the question.

This is one of those stupid ideas that have no reasonable upside and a lot of downside.

At best, what? The cop knows you think he’s a jerk. At worst, you get put into the system and have to waste your time and money.

Besides, any time I’ve had an interaction with the cops, chances are I was probably up to something, if not illegal, a bit shady. Best not to push my like by acting like a jerk.

Of course. But would I be any less a jerk if I did the same to SHAKES’ mechanic? And, as the OP asks, would I be breaking any law? Learning that would be an upside, for sure.
BTW; contrary to cop lore, I’m not presently engaged in anything at all illegal, or even shady.
