It’s fairly common now to claim that “El Shaddai” can be translated “God the Full-Breasted” as well as “God All-Mighty”;
I’ve found a few claims that the opening of Genesis-
“Barashit Elohim bara…” -“In the Beginning, God(s) created…”
can be translated “From her head, God(s) created…”
How much validity is there to all this? I submit this to the Hebrew-knowing Dopers- especially Zev.
