Fencing books for kids

My 9 year old son has been besotted with fencing since the Olympics. His schedule however isn’t going to be able to fit a new activity in, at least not yet. That said he’s, a voracious reader so I thought a good fencing introduction for kids would be a neat Christmas gift. I know a few dopers fence so I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts.

It’s been a long time since I fenced (college in late 80’s), so not sure about book titles; a little Googling should tell you.

I still have fencing equipment stored somewhere, if you ask around you might find someone (or two) in a similar situation who could be convinced to teach some small or one on one classes.

Tom Sawyer.

Wait, what?

Aw man. I was all ready to share tips on selling books that kids had stolen and brought to me. So, never mind, I guess.

I don’t know if the Princess Bride counts, but that and all of the Three Musketeers books might serve as entertainment, but I don’t know where you’d start as far as USEful goes. Google would help with that though

However…pages like Сайт на обновлении seem nice, and 9 isn’t too young to take advantage of what can be learned through the net
