Fendor Tone app for Fender amps

Disappointed in the options. As a fairly new electric guitar player, was happy that the Fender Mustang amp came with 31 presets. But I don’t need that many, 10 is more than enough. Then I heard about the Tone app, comes with 100, again I don’t need most, but you can modify them, create new ones, rename them, and they get saved to the amp so you don’t have to always have the USB connected.

So my plan was to use this and delete the ones I don’t use, so when I am turning the dial on the actual amp, I don’t have to scroll through 31 presets I won’t use to find the one I want. I would name Classic Rock 02 Classic Rock, Chicago Blues 03 Chicago Blues etc. Turns out you can remane the preset names but you can’t change the number, or reorder them in the list, and you can’t delete any of them

Why the hell not? Whatever, I guess I am looking a gift app in the software options, and I do see a workaround. I can take some of the presets, clear them, and then resave from the 100 that came with the amp. 07 Skate Punk becomes 07 Country Pickin.

In the meantime, I have 100 to go through to see what I like. What the hell is Tame Psych or Reigning Blood?

The game with all of the guitar processor apps I’ve ever seen is to figure out what trademark the developer is afraid to violate.

Tame Psych = a Tame Impala sound from one of their earlier albums
Reigning Blood = a Slayer tone like the Reign in Blood album
