Ferguson Grand Jury Decision to be announced at 9pm EST

Now there’s looting and stores being set on fire away from where the original protests were.

They just don’t understand that whatever sympathy they had quickly evaporates when they shoot at the police, throw Molotov cocktails, and burn cars or buildings. Sort of makes you turn a deaf ear to the message they are trying to spread.

If I’m understanding the scanner chatter correctly, the fires are on opposite ends of town, and neither are near the protesting area. Walgreens definitely, fire department is asking for additional trucks, and a beauty salon next to a McDonald’s which sounds under control. And since my last post, two new shots fired reports. None of this sounds like it’s centralized, this stuff is all over town.

Fire department requested assistance at the second fire, and a third building fire has just been reported. I’m afraid the fire department isn’t going to keep up. I hope neighboring departments can come in. Sounds like they’re trying to secure another parking lot to use as command post, they got overwhelmed and pulled out of the first one.

Clearly, destroying the property and livelihood of innocent bystanders is the best way to demonstrate your deep commitment to justice.

Looks like the temperatures are going to dip into the upper 20s tonight in Ferguson. That should keep many of them home.

Don’t forget the stolen potato chips, Nothing shows commitment to bettering society like running with an armload of liquor store Ruffles.

It’s clearly not. Another (4th) fire reported on the scanner, plus heavy gunfire reported being taken by another squad car as I type this. They’re not going to stop until people are dead. Fire department retreating from one of the fires due to gunshots.

This is so awful, I don’t have words, and I’m just listening to the radios, not even watching TV.

Dispatch is calling for Trooper 987 to respond, he’s not responding.

+1 well said

Peaceful demonstrations are an expression of democracy. Rioting and looting can’t be tolerated. Civil Order has to be maintained.

Then why bother posting it?

Well, it’s spreading across the country.

Glad I have my shotgun beside the bed tonight. It’ll stay there for the next few nights.

Dispatch: “Car #4682 Retreat. Retreat from the lot of Toys R Us, it is not safe.”

I’m not worried about rioters on my street. However, if the police are downtown trying to control several hundred people. Who’s left to guard the rest of the city from the regular criminals? That’s my concern. The garden variety thug that breaks into houses for a living. If someone hears a prowler in a St Louis neighborhood they better not hold their breath waiting for a patrol car to respond. They’re a bit busy tonight.

I do think it worth mentioning, the public as of yet does not know what the grand jury based their decision on.

(If this was said already I missed it, my bad))

Don’t you live in Arkansas?

I’m only 5 hours away from St Louis. We had a few protests right after the shooting. Nothing major. We’re hoping things stay quiet this time too.

Round them up and have them enslaved I say! That’s what worked back in the day.

It would depend, but typically not. Usually once things got out of hand the powers that be had to do a lot of killing. Some of the women and children might end up enslaved, though.

You may think it’s funny, but I heard the violence is spreading as far away as Little Rock and people there are arming themselves to defend their way of life. There’s nothing funny about that.
