Ferguson, MO

The words “lame stream media” provide your answer.

You would hope. But not always.

Not being sarcastic. What proof do you have that this officer had an automatic weapon?

Crispus Attucks had it coming.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: with allegations of threatening to kill journalists, confiscating food and water supplies from churches, expelling Amnesty International, and verbal racism, the police have done themselves no favors, even if the one cop is telling the truth about the key event. I don’t blame anyone for not believing their version of events, and even if the one officer isn’t prosecuted, that should NOT be the end.

Marissa Alexander

I’m pretty sure I never said automatic weapon (not sure if the weapon was automatic or not), though it’s a stupid hill for you to die on in any case, as it’s totally beside the point, unless you’re an absolute moron (hint: you are). Watch the video and tell me why you think your nitpick isn’t stupid (hint: it is).

Nailed it.

(post shortened)

Could I be expected to do any less than the future American President, John Adams?

A mob had formed to verbally abuse, harassment, threaten, and throw objects at the soldiers. Six of the soldiers were acquitted, and two were convicted of manslaughter and given reduced sentences.

Did you actually view the title of your linked video? Or did someone tell you to post it unviewed?

Got it, so it it never ok to stand up to authority? Boston, Prague, Budapest, Tiananmen Square, Warsaw, they all got what they had coming?
ETA: Also, please explain why it matters if the officer’s gun is automatic.

Marissa Alexander has zero to do with this, best as I can tell.

MA claimed she only fired a warning shot - there was considerable skepticism as to whether this was what she did. Beyond that, the alleged fact of her firing a warning shot was not used to prove that she was not in imminent danger - which is what you’re claiming. It was the fact that she left the scene and came back with a gun that did her in.

Yep, sure did, dipshit. My point had nothing to do with the type of weapon, because it doesn’t fucking matter; he could have been swinging a meat cleaver, for all I give a fuck. It’s the officer’s actions that are the problem. But you knew that. Or am I giving you too much credit?

If Marissa Alexander had killed her husband or whoever the guy was, do you think she’d have been legally better off or worse?

I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess it would be pretty hard to remain your chipper, cheerful self after 10 days of working overtime while the nice, peaceful protesters hurled rocks, bottles, Molotov cocktails and insults at you. Were it me, I’d probably tell them to go “f” themself too. All and all, I think they have done a very good job. By comparison, go see what happened at Kent State when protesters threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at the National Guard.

I wanted to know if that officer actually had an automatic weapon and I mistakenly thought that you might have some useful information.

Oh, you are.

Wow talk about becoming part of the story. Does the media officially outnumber the protesters yet?

Absolutely not. At this stage, I’d point out that what my guy says is absolutely key to a very public, very stinky mess, and ask for transactional immunity before he said a word.

And they were no longer evading arrest as part of the predicate felony. The crime was complete.

Indeed - you’re only interested in the “useful”, pertinent aspects of the situation. I also have no idea what kind of camera was used to record the incident, FTR - guess I’m a big ol’ dummy all around! You absolute cretin.
