House soiling is one of the top reasons for pet owners to surrender or euthanize their pets. Sometimes when all other options for stopping unwanted behavior have been tried and the choices are to medicate a pet versus euthanizing it then yeah, it’s worth it to medicate them and no they do not walk around all stoned, twitchy or suffer withdrawls from a missed dose. Many humans take Xanax and Prozac and are still able to function.
