Fie on you, Barenaked Ladies!!!

I sure hope so, for their sake.

It’s true, Howie - I suspect it’s because they were goofier in their earlier days, so now it’s the goofy/strange songs that tend to get on the radio. That’s a totally unproven theory, but the more serious, darker (and more musically interesting) stuff doesn’t seem to make it to the air waves.

I’m okay with that, if it means that I can get reasonably-priced tickets close to the stage again some day …

oh, and I love Ed. Just FYI.

BNL, they are supporting Jack Layton and the NDP… so I can forgive them for a lot…

That drives me cuckoo, too. No tails! They’re Apes!

The whole song is such a disappointment. I like BNL a good bit. Don’t like that song at all.

Waverly, if Led Zeppelin couldn’t use “Babe” or “Baby” in their lyrics their albums would last 20 minutes max.

No, before “One Week” they were playing sold-out shows in Buffalo and Detroit and other towns close to the Canadian border. They were big here long before they got radio play.

Oh christ, now I sound like a east coast early-80s college puke bitching about how they liked REM back when they were a “real alternative” band.

Let me go kick my own ass.
